George Hallwood - CEO
MBA, Grad Cert (Rehab Counselling), Dip CD, CPMgr, MASRC

George Hallwood is the CEO and founder of Effective Australia, a rehabilitation and workforce participation service provider in South Australia, New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory. Effective is noted for its innovative workplace focussed programs that deliver consistently high return to work rates and robust recovery.

Having worked in both the private and public sector focussing on personnel and human resource management since the early 1980’s, George has specialised in wellness and employment participation services for people with disabilities and complex needs. He has presented at numerous national conferences and industry summits. As the past national President and continuing as a Council member of the Australian Rehabilitation Providers Association George has supported ARPA’s involvement with the Heads of Workers’ Compensation harmonisation programs, provided input to the Productivity Commission’s review of National Workers’ Compensation and Occupational Health and Safety Frameworks, and participated in numerous parliamentary, ministerial, and departmental reviews of rehabilitation, compensation, and workforce participation. He is currently President of ARPA SA Branch.

George is a past member of the Board of the Local Government Workers Compensation Scheme in South Australia, and is a past Chairman of the Eastern Health Authority.

Tricia Garnett - General Manager

Tricia Garnett has extensive knowledge of workers’ compensation and has worked in senior management positions within the industry for over 16 years.  Prior to this Tricia worked in the area of industrial relations where she gained a strong understanding of industrial and other related legislation in numerous jurisdictions. This has enable Tricia to confidently work across multiple workers’ compensation authorities within Australia.

 Tricia is a nationally accredited LEADR mediator and has been providing mediation services for more than a decade.

 Tricia also has a strong commitment to local community and has been a board member of not-for-profit organisations for more than a decade.  Tricia is currently a board member for an organisation that provides employment and support for people with a disability.  Tricia has a strong personal commitment to social justice and equity and demonstrates this through her continued voluntary community involvement. 

Netty Heinrich – Administration Manager

Netty has been with Effective since its inception in 1997.  She started off performing all office tasks, but as the Company grew and this was not feasible anymore, she has concentrated on the financial / administrative side of the business.

Netty finished her high school education in Amsterdam, Holland.  She has since done courses in MYOB, completed Cert Small Business Management, Cert IV in Frontline Management, Cert IV in Assessment and Workplace Training and is currently studying for a Diploma in Business Management.
